342: How to LOVE Your Life – Exactly As It Is
16/09/2020 Duração: 37minA few weeks ago, I recorded an episode of the podcast called “Freedom From Your Emotional Pain.” You can find it at HalElrod.com/338 if you haven’t listened to it yet. Within that episode, I shared the following quote: "Consider that every painful emotion you have ever experienced has been self-created by resisting your reality. It's never the thing we think we're upset about that's actually upsetting us. It is our resistance. When you accept reality exactly as it is, you are at peace.” This turned out to be one of the most shared episodes of the podcast I’ve had in a long time, and in addition to some very positive feedback, I also heard from a few people who were in pain and very upset about that quote. They understandably interpreted it as me meaning that our pain is our fault, when my meaning is really intended to identify and overcome the root cause of the pain itself. Today, in order to help clarify and expand on this message, I’m reading you a chapter from one of my all-time favorite books: Loving What

341: The ONE Decision That Makes All Others For You
09/09/2020 Duração: 52minWhat if you could make one decision, and that decision would automate nearly every decision you’ll ever make again? Today we’re going to talk about exactly that. Many years ago, I unconsciously made a decision. I established a set of core values and guiding principles, and in doing so, it became the ultimate decision-making engine that predetermined every other decision for myself. It enabled me to know who I would be and how I would respond to any challenge or opportunity. In today’s episode, I’m giving you a simple process that will make your life easier, improve your self-discipline, and essentially make most of your future decisions for you. You’ll learn how to access a new level of effectiveness when you consciously articulate, clarify, and translate your core values and guiding principles into writing, and discover how to use them to lower your stress and increase your ability to act quickly, decisively, and effectively. Julianna Raye is a master of mindfulness, which is why I asked her to join me for today’s podcast. In addition to her more than 12,000 hours of personal practice, I’ve witnessed her lead thousands of members of our community through guided meditation, and her techniques have transformed my personal meditation practice. 339: It’s Time to Make Your Dreams a Reality with Giovanni Marsico
26/08/2020 Duração: 39minDo you dream of a bigger and better future? Have you ever been told to ‘get your head out of the clouds’ and ‘be more realistic’? Well, you’re not crazy, and you’re not alone. Every product, innovation social movement and major change in the world started off as one person’s dream – and they were called ‘crazy’ until they made their dream come true… and then they were called a ‘genius.’ The other day I was watching the brand new documentary, Dreamer created by Giovanni Marsico (which you can watch for free at DreamerDocumentary.com), and I absolutely loved it! It was filled with incredible stories of individuals who ignored those who told them to be more realistic, and instead turned their unrealistic dreams into their reality. I enjoyed the film so much that I immediately reached out to Giovanni and asked him to be on the podcast to share what he’s learned from spending time with some of the world’s most prolific Dreamers. He explores the patterns that he sees in people who have had the power to pursue their

338: Freedom From Your Emotional Pain
19/08/2020 Duração: 56minThe other day, I posted the following quote on social media: "Consider that every painful emotion you have ever experienced has been self-created by resisting your reality. It's never the thing we think we're upset about that's actually upsetting us. It is our resistance. When you accept reality exactly as it is, you are at peace.” To this, I added, “When you accept reality exactly as it is, there is no pain, only peace. Instead of resisting reality, accept it unconditionally, giving yourself the gift of inner peace, and from that place of unconditional peace, you can choose to experience any reality that you want.” Several members of the Miracle Morning Community responded. They wanted to talk about the trauma, sadness, and pain they’ve felt in their own life caused by losing others and enduring difficult circumstances. On today’s podcast, I want to address this. I want to teach you how to free yourself from emotional pain. I want to help you find the power and purpose in emotional pain and discover how to a

337: How Gratitude Changes Everything with Chip Franks
12/08/2020 Duração: 51minWe’re living not just in a global pandemic, but a global mental health crisis. More people are struggling mentally and emotionally than possibly ever before. In fact, nearly half of Americans report the coronavirus crisis is harming their mental health, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation poll. However, what can give you the power to manage your mental and emotional state, in times like these, is a strong sense of control of your inner world. Today, we talk about how GRATITUDE can be the key that unlocks the door to your inner freedom. There are few people I know who excel when it comes to their mental and emotional well-being, like Chip Franks. Chip is a master of choosing the emotion that best serves him in any given circumstance, no matter how difficult or challenging it may be. You’re going to hear Chip talk about dropping his mom off at hospice last week, and how he’s able to remain grateful and joyful, even in the midst of losing his dear mother. Today, Chip joins the podcast for the sixth time (no

336: How to Be Peaceful & Proactive When Life is Difficult
05/08/2020 Duração: 36minFor today’s podcast episode, I want to explore what enables certain people to move through life’s challenges so much more easily and effectively than others, and give you three (3) steps to develop your ability to do the same. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, the primary focus of what I’ve been talking with you about is the one thing that you have control over: your inner world (your thinking, your emotional well-being, and ultimately your internal quality of life). I know that for many of us, it may feel like that’s easier said than done, and it can feel like the pain, frustration, fear, suffering, and sadness in the world controls us. However, today I want to show you that you absolutely have the ability to control your thinking and to intentionally create an emotional state that serves your highest good and enables you to be proactive – no matter what’s going on in the world, in your life, or with your family. We’ll also explore the following three (3) key steps that can help you maintain a peaceful, pro

29/07/2020 Duração: 33minIs there an area of your life that you would like to change or improve in the next 30 days? Today’s podcast episode will help you do exactly that. For each of the past few months, I’ve been hosting a Miracle Morning “Monthly Mission” (30-day Challenge) in The Miracle Morning Community Facebook group, and I wanted to invite you to participate for the month of August. 334: The Path of Unconditional Happiness
22/07/2020 Duração: 34minDo you ever have that experience where you’re reading a book and find yourself nodding your head and thinking, “Yes!” because you agree and resonate so deeply with what the author is saying? That happened with me over and over again when I read The Untethered Soul and its follow up, The Surrender Experiment, by Michael Singer. They quickly became two of my favorite books of all time, and there are millions of people who would say the same things about his work. Today, I’m going to read one of my favorite chapters from The Untethered Soul to you: “The Path of Unconditional Happiness.” This chapter reaffirms a fundamental philosophy that has been one of the most important I’ve ever discovered, what Michael Singer calls “the highest spiritual path.” It is that life is meant to be enjoyed, that suffering is optional, and how we always have a choice to be happy, regardless of our circumstances, which begins the moment we make our “vow of unconditional happiness.” I invite you to keep an open mind, think about the

333: My Hour-by-Hour Miracle Morning & Daily Schedule
15/07/2020 Duração: 01h43sEach week, I receive hundreds of emails from members of our community, asking me all types of questions - some of which are pretty unexpected, but I’ll leave those for another episode. :^) One of the most popular types of questions that I get revolves around how I schedule my day, and structure my Miracle Morning. Today, I want to take some time to really answer this question. Right now, my SAVERS take about 90 minutes – 30 minutes for myself, 30 minutes for my family, and 30 minutes for my mission/ business. This may sound like a lot, but it’s completely doable with the structure. If you’re wondering how I plan my day, how I’m currently practicing my SAVERS, what I eat, and how I use my time in service of my family and my mission, this episode breaks down each step along the way. 332: How to Access the Power of Presence with Hal Elrod
08/07/2020 Duração: 38minAs human beings, we’re prone to living in the past or anticipating the future, but rarely are we present to the only thing that’s real… NOW. Life is always happening right now, and yet most of us spend our entire lives in our heads, thinking about the past or future, which is causing us to miss out on the essence of life. When we’re fully present, we’re calm, we transcend stress and worry, and we’re able to experience life as it is meant to be lived. I first began learning about this in my early twenties, when I first read The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, and I’ve been striving and struggling to implement it in my life ever since. In today’s podcast, I want to talk about the power of this practice, how to share it with your family, and how to get started if you’ve never meditated before or have struggled with meditation in the past. 331: How to Make the Next 6 Months Your Best 6 Months
01/07/2020 Duração: 41minHow has the first half of 2020 been for you so far? I know, I know – that’s a loaded question. When you and I were planning our goals for the year, I don’t think either of us considered that a global pandemic and the accompanying quarantine would show up. Personally, back in February, I was in the middle of planning a nationwide theater release for The Miracle Morning movie, and then the Coronavirus struck, and our entire plan had to be thrown out. Well, even if the first six months haven’t been what you’d planned on or expected, and you’re not to blame for the adverse circumstances in the world, now is the time for us to regroup so that we can make the second half of 2020 better than the first. Today, I want to share three simple steps to help you focus on what you can do to make meaningful progress during the second half of this year. I want you to have the most successful, enjoyable, and fulfilling six months you’ve ever had. Get The Full Show Notes To get full access to today's show notes, including aud

330: Your Mind's Ability to Heal Your Body with Dr. Bernie Siegel
24/06/2020 Duração: 49minWhen I was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, my prognosis was extremely grim. I was given a 10 to 30% chance of surviving, which you could also say is a 70 to 90% chance of dying. Thankfully, soon after I was diagnosed, I read Dr. Bernie Siegel’s book, Love, Medicine & Miracles, and I began affirming that there was a 100% chance that I would be in the 10 to 30% that survived. Bernie is an expert in mind-body connection. He’s been sharing for decades the mind’s ability to heal the body and our ability to heal ourselves, and what was once seen as kind of woo-woo is now more backed by science than ever before. In today’s conversation, Bernie shares deep wisdom about the problems with our perceptions around health and wellness, the power we all have to heal ourselves and change our lives, and the unique healing power of love. 328: The Realities of Racism and Elevating Consciousness with Preston Smiles
17/06/2020 Duração: 52minHow do you feel about the current state of our world? Personally, I’ve got mixed feelings. On one hand, this is a crazy time in human history. People are dying, millions are unemployed, and many of our freedoms are being threatened or altogether taken away. All of this saddens me. However, on the other hand, people from all walks of life are uniting and working together to incite change. Protests are happening around the world, corrupt police officers are being held accountable, and people are courageously speaking up against injustice. All of this gives me hope. The cause that has been at the forefront of my mind is racial equality. This is a topic that is new to me, so I’m listening and learning as much as I can. I’ve realized that racism is more than just words, beliefs and actions. It includes all the barriers that prevent people from enjoying dignity and equality because of their race. Joining me today, to talk about this and much more, is my good friend Preston Smiles. Preston is the author of Love Loud

323: How to Take Action When You Don't Feel Like It
13/05/2020 Duração: 34minNo matter who you are, what you do, or what your goals are, there are probably things in your life that you would benefit from doing that you’d prefer not to do. Today, I really didn’t want to go for a run – nor record this podcast – and yet I did both. So, how can you get yourself to do the things you need to do, even when you don’t have the drive, motivation, or energy to do them? When you lose your motivation, you need to get tactical. It’s time to implement concrete strategies to reframe the situation and recapture your momentum. Inspired by my experience this morning, I’ve decided to use today’s episode to explore this further and help answer the crucial question: how do you get yourself to take action and do the things you know you need to do, even when you don’t feel like doing them? KEY TAKEAWAYS How objects, challenges, setbacks, defeats, and failures squash the goal achieving mindset - and what to do when the infatuation period wears off after you’ve adopted a new habit.
