Born in Illinois, the youngest of five children, Kurt's musical education took him from the streets of Chicago to the Music Conservatories of France. By the age of twelve he had already written his first symphonic work. Today, Kurt Farquhar is a four-time BMI award winner for most performed music on prime-time television. For over two decades Kurt has been one of the most dominant composers in television music (King of Queens, The Game, Lincoln Heights, Girlfriends, Sister Sister, Soul Food, The Parkers, South Central, The Proud Family, and many others). Thomas Johnson, also known as Tommy the Clown, is an American dancer best known as the inventor of the "clowning" style of dance, which evolved into krumping. Johnson invented the style in 1992 to enhance birthday party clown acts, thereby creating the concept of "hip-hop clowns". Johnson and his followers have performed at birthday parties ranging from inner city communities to celebrities like Madonna, Pamela Anderson, and Cedric the Entertainer. He achieved international acclaim as focus of David LaChapelle's 2005 documentary Rize. Tommy the Clown also danced with Ray Ray, of Mindless Behavior fame.

In grade school his teachers would ask him to do his President Jimmy Carter impersonation and in high school he dreamed of hosting Jeopardy or of being the anchorman on the local Philly news. When asked how he transitioned from Philly/NJ DJ to studio executive, award winning producer and award winning actor in just eight years in Hollywood, Gerald replied: “Become a decision maker not the passive result of the decisions being made and be willing to work harder than you’ve ever imagined to expand your knowledge, talent and skill sets.”
