Cutdown day has come and gone in the NFL, but the New York Jets are not done making moves. The team added to its tight end room by adding Brenden Bates, an intriguing tight end prospect, off waivers from the Chicago Bears. Bates had a strong preseason. The Jets also filled out their practice squad. The biggest name there didn't spend camp with the Jets. It is former Vikings first round pick Lewis Cine. The New York Jets won their second game of the 2024 preseason Saturday night over the Carolina Panthers 15-12. As always, the final score of a preseason game doesn't matter a whole lot. The individual performances are much more significant. The Jets got a big one from one of their most important players. Will McDonald, who has been thrust into the spotlight during Haason Reddick's holdout, registered a sack. How he got the sack was as important as the sack itself.
