MGM's 1939 Leo is On the Air Trailer promoting Balalaika starring Nelson Eddy and Ilona Massey. Nelson Eddy stars as a Czarist prince who falls in love with a cafe singer in the days just before the Russian Revolution in this gorgeous period musical. Balalaika is now available at Warner Archive.

This week, the Warner Archive Collection crew take us through seven new releases, starting with the late '60's Tarzan TV show and on to the '70's for the campus unrest classic The Strawberry Statement and the seldom seen psycho-thriller, The Spiral Staircase. We then head back to the '40's for the psychological thriller Rage in Heaven starring Ingrid Bergman and Joan of Paris, a suspense actioner about wartime France starring her Casablanca co-star, Paul Henreid. Then we finish our discussion with two offerings with Ann Sothern, Hooray for Love and Panama Hattie.

Ron Ely discusses highlights from his career with George Feltenstein in commemoration of the Warner Archive release of Tarzan Season 1. Mr. Ely shares stories of how he became Tarzan, the challenging shoots, and how he came to terms with the fame that came with playing the reknown and beloved character.

In celebration of award season the Warner Archive Collection podcast presents The Academy Award Theater's radio adaptation of Kitty Foyle. Ginger Rogers earned a Best Actress award for her performance in the 1940 film.
