Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:10-11

There is a lost and found department in the Bible where Jesus spoke about the lost sheep, lost silver and lost son. How hard do we look for something we've lost of value? How much more valuable are we to God? What would it profit a man if he would gain the whole world yet lose his soul?

It seems that our nation and our world have been wrought with one tragedy after another. Why do these things happen? Why? Jesus was asked the same question and His answer is powerful and much needed in today's church.

Scripture: Matthew 2:1-12, How did Christianity grow from a manger in Bethlehem to the world's largest religion? Even in countries where Christianity is illegal, Christianity is growing. From the time of Christ's birth 2000 years ago, the focus of God has been reaching the nations of the world.

Scripture: Luke 2:8-11, Are you more afraid than you were a few years ago? We live in a scary world. We fear government, terrorists and economic disasters as well as health concerns for us and our loved ones. The good news is that God can save us from our worst fears.

Scripture: John 2:1-11, How many signs do you see everyday? In the 1970's we saw an average of 500 signs or ads each day. Today though, we see about 5000 signs or ads per day on average. Because there are so many signs and ads, we have begun to ignore them. However, there is one sign that we need to be paying attention to all the time and that is the sign of God's activity in your life.

Scripture: Mark 5, How you ever known anyone with a ruined life? Whether the struggle is drugs, sexual immorality, alcoholism, unethical ambition, greed, dishonesty, etc., it seems like the enemy is always coming up with something new to ruin us. These things often seem harmless at first but if they ever get a foothold they will become a stronghold which will lead to a stranglehold. It can destroy your life. If you are carrying a life ruining secret with you everyday, its not too late to allow God to fix your broken life.

Scripture: Luke 17:11-19, Do you have anything to be thankful for? Everyone ought to be thankful, especially Christians. Being thankful is also healthy as it could extend your life. Sadly, 1 in 5 Americans are more thankful for a physical possession than for a person in their life. Being grateful, being thankful is always a spiritual issue which is directly related to your relationship with Jesus Christ. Thanksgiving is more than a holiday, it is a way of life for anyone who has experienced God's amazing grace.

Scripture: Matthew 11:28-30, Have you ever heard the old expression, "it seems too good to be true"? What about the opposite? Have you ever read the warning label for some of those medications you might be taking? Do you sometimes wonder if the risks outweigh the rewards? Well there is one thing that is as good as it sounds, there are no risks, its from Jesus Christ, its for everybody, and its exactly what you need.

Scripture: Acts 2:, How important are other people in your life? Is there a way to measure the importance we place on other people's lives in our lives? Certainly being isolated has had negative effects on certain people. The truth is that we all need other people in our lives. We need someone to care for us and we need to care for somebody. That's why God wants you to be part of a church.

Scripture: Revelation 22:7, The Bible tells us that there is a blessing that is promised to those who read His book, who hear its words, receiving it spiritually and who obey and do those things that are found in the Bible. There is a blessing to studying the book of Revelation. There is also a key to unlocking the book of Revelation. For those who follow Jesus, the best is yet to come.

Scripture: Isaiah 62:6-7, Has God ever given you a surprise, some kind of blessing at the moment you least expected it? Recently, a movie "War Room" with only a $3 million budget was the number 1 movie on Labor Day in the United States. It was a movie about the power of prayer. If prayer is suddenly popular at the movies, isn't it time it got popular at church again?

Scripture: 1 John 4:19-21

The world says we need to be happy. The problem with that is happiness is dictated by outward circumstances and those can change all the time. Joy is not built on outward circumstances, Joy is built on a person and His name is Jesus.
