Sam runs into an old military friend, and something seems to be not quite right about the encounter. Chime arranges a meeting to catch up with his estranged brother, Choler, and Gaspar summons Jerr to find out if something of importance was stolen before the fire. The players also begin to speculate what the agent of chaos is that Jordan has up his sleeve... something that causes 20D damage! The Adventure begins with a mysterious fire. Jerr is on the scene and rescues a familiar face from the blaze. Julian is tipped off and starts an investigation, and Chime adjusts to his time off from work. Throughout the episode, little details are dropped about how dark things actually are in Consiglio. We polish of the introduction of our new characters in this episode, exploring their abilities even further. For our next Throwback Series, we go back to an old favorite, Fiasco, but with a twist. We picked up the Dragonslayers play set and plugged in the Living Dead add-on and the alternate tilt table and aftermath from the Fiasco Companion book. In this first episode, we kick it off with a couple flashback scenes to see how the characters' relationships (if you can call them that) began. Full on into the Asylum, and the "residents" don't seem to be too welcoming no matter how the team tried to get in. Not only that, but a mysterious figure approaches from outside. Now we get to introduce the characters for the new campaign. Using one of our favorite methods for creating characters, the Campaign Mastercraft Method (The 3x3  Character), we share the characters' backstories, beliefs, and goals — giving Jordan plenty of ammunition to create a bit of chaos for the players, and ultimately drive the story. We also give a brief overview of the social/cultural setting in which the adventure will begin. We’re excited to begin a new campaign; new world, new characters, and a new adventure. In this episode, we introduce the foundation of the world we created in a game of Microscope we played off-mic, wade into this new campaign setting, and begin to build the new characters.
