Strange Highways

This week Terry and Paul start their journey into Season 2 of the Jordan Peele produced Twilight Zone with the first episode, 'Meet in the Middle' in which they meet (not in the middle) Mr. Phil Hayes, a single man who always finds something wrong with the women he meets. Things suddenly change when a mysterious woman's voice pops into his head...

This week Terry and Paul take a detour into a lesser known anthology horror film with 1983's Nightmares. It is four tales about roadside killers, deadly video games, a truck possibly from Hell, and a very large rat. Will Nightmares cause us to lose sleep at night or send us off snoozing early? 

Congrats everyone! We made it through Season 4 of the original series of the Twilight Zone. This week we will share our thoughts and feelings overall about the season and if the hour long format succeeded more than it failed and we then discuss our favorite performances, bottom three episodes, top three frustrating episodes, top three forgettable episodes, and then our top three favorite episodes of the season. Season Four Finale! This week Terry and Paul meet Mr. Julius Moomer, a terrible script writer just looking for his chance to make it big. He is given the chance to write about black magic and inadvertently summons William Shakespeare to do his bidding...  

This week Terry and Paul book passage on the Lady Anne, an old luxury passenger ship that is making its last voyage and meet Eileen and Alan Ransome, a couple whose marriage is crumbling and their hope is the that trip across the ocean will give them time to save it. They do find it odd that every other passenger is above the age of 75 and doesn't seem to want the young couple anywhere near the ship...

This week Terry and Paul get all dirty and sweaty as we meet 'Captain' William Benteen, a man self tasked with overseeing the day to day care of a nearly forgotten colony of space pioneers stuck with twin blazing suns and a craggy landscape. Benteen believes a rescue ship is coming, and when it arrives, his world starts changing in ways he didn't expect... 

This week Terry and Paul go looking for three cent wieners and meet Mr. Horrace Maxwell Ford, a toy designer that is always eager to talk about his childhood while growing up on Randolph Street. He believes everything was so much better back then that when he goes to visit the street, it is seems to be exactly how he remembers it...

This week Terry and Paul politely decline a cigar from Mr. Feathersmith, a very wealthy man who has made his fortune manipulating others while breaking their backs and spirits. He now has everything he has ever wanted and the thrill is gone. Enter Miss Devlin, who offers him the chance to back in time and do it all over again for a price...

This week Terry and Paul wander into a wax museum and find the Murderers' Row, a display of some of the most dangerous serial killers. Among them we meet Mr. Martin Senescu, their caretaker and tour guide. He believes that the figures are more than just wax, they are his friends...

This week Terry and Paul go to a antique store and meet Mr. George Hanley, a man in love with a woman he will never get and eyes a promotion he will never be given. When he discovers a magic lamp and is given one wish, George thinks real hard about what he really wants...

This week Terry and Paul meet Major Robert Gaines, an astronaut who is trying to break the record for number of orbits around the earth. When he hits the 15th circuit, a bright light fills his capsule and then suddenly he finds himself in a hospital bed with more questions than answers...

This week Terry, Paul and special guest Trevor travel back through time with Mr. Paul Driscoll, a man disgusted with how the 20th century has played out. He believes that being armed with the knowledge of what is yet to happen is enough to change the past...

This week Terry and Paul stop by the Dansburg Courier, a failing newspaper on its last legs, and meet its owner Mr. Douglas Winter. Douglas is willing to do almost anything to keep the presses running and that gets the attention of Mr. Smith, a man with a grin and an offer too good to refuse...

This week Terry and Paul stop by the museum for a .60 cent lunch and meet Mr. Charley Parkes, a man whom the world keeps telling him what to be when all he wants is to be alone and listen to the small melody that is coming from a particular display...

This week Terry and Paul go to a square dance against their will and meet Billy-Ben Turner, a man that all the ladies want, and Jess-Belle, the woman who will pay any price to have his heart... 

This week Terry and Paul head to the far off year of 1997 and meet the crew of E-89, a ship assigned with finding habitable planets for the future of mankind. They run into a spot of trouble when they land on an alien world and find a crashed craft that looks a lot like their own...

This week Terry and Paul celebrate Valentine's Day by digging into some Tales from the Crypt for such a special occasion. We party down and meet Mr. Devlin Cates, a photographer that is falling for Stacy, a model that is into him but is unfortunately attached to Mitch, an abusive jerk who has a plan to control Stacy at all costs...

This week Terry and Paul meet Henry and Cora Wheeler, a couple that have experienced loss previously but are now given a second chance with Ilse, a young girl who recently lost her parents and seems unable to communicate with the outside world...
