In a world where the demands of the gods often leads to child sacrifice, Abraham discovers a very different God. A God who does not demand, but provides. A God who asks not for our sacrifice, but our trust.

God floods the world. Does this make him cruel? Furious? Or is He kind and friendly?

What is luck? Does it exist? How do we respond to "bad luck?" How do luck and worship correlate? We are more like Cain than we like to think. This message covers all this and more.

You submitted the questions. In this episode we provide the answers. Or maybe more of a discussion. Pastor Brandon thoughtfully leads us through five questions: 1. What does it mean to take God’s name in vain? 2. Why are women not required to wear a head covering when wearing one was commanded in the New Testament? 3. How critical is actually reading the Bible every day? I mean, could you get the same benefit from a recorded sermon, for instance? 4. Are we predestined or do we have free will? Are we chosen or do we choose? 5. How do you not only speak to God as you pray, but then listen to him as well?

After six days of creating, God rested on the seventh. He blessed the seventh day and set it apart from the other six as unique. Israel modeled this with the Sabbath. Jesus challenged the rules attached to it. The rest of the New Testament is strangely silent about it. Are we supposed to keep the Sabbath or not? Is there any value in it? This message will discuss some practical ways to incorporate more rest in our lives, while also challenging the Church's present concept of Sunday.

The Garden of Eden was the photo-type temple from which the Tabernacle, the Church, and even Jesus are models. The implications from this instruct us on how to perform the mission Jesus gave His church to accomplish.

What does it mean to be human? What sets humans apart from the rest of creation? What does it mean to be created in "the image of God?" And how do these questions matter?

Who is God? What is He like? The first chapter of Genesis introduces us to the Bible's main character. His traits are highlighted by comparing the creation narrative with Babylon's creation myth.

In the beginning... Life is a story. It has a beginning. It has an ending. But the middle is where we live, fight, and struggle. The Bible begins as a story meant to guide our stories. Our shapeless and empty moments in search of meaning find it here.
