Hey Family, I hope you've benefited from the series we've been preaching on the Apostles' Creed, which spells out what all Christians believe. This Sunday we welcome one of RHOW's most popular guest preachers! John Fils-Aime, senior pastor of Central Baptist Church in Manhattan, will be talking about the amazing role the Holy Spirit plays in our lives. Hey Family, Special guest speaker Pastor Mike Fleishman. When it comes to God, there are certain things that are easy to highlight and celebrate--like how he forgives our sin and how we will be in heaven with him forever. These are wonderful truths from the Bible that we love to hear. However, there are certain truths that we don't like to talk about so much, especially in our culture. One is God's right to judge--and not only that, but his insistence that he will judge. This week, as we continue our study of the Apostles' Creed, we'll talk about how God is going to come again and how he will judge the living and the dead. This is an unbelievably important message for Christians. We have already been judged in Christ, and the judgment God will bring is for our celebration and joy. But for those who are far from God, he will bring a judgment of punishment. God doesn't turn a blind eye to injustice. He doesn't ignore terrorism, or children being allowed to go hungry, or the mistreatment

Hey Family, Last Sunday we were reminded that Jesus loves us to death, and that our sin is no match for his grace. This week in our series WE CAME TO BELIEVE we will wrestle with the question, did Jesus really go to hell? We'll look at the part of the Apostle's Creed where we find a profound statement of what Christ has done on our behalf to win us to himself. Hey Family, Many of us believe that before we can go to God we have to clean up our act, stop all our bad habits, and address all our sins, to be worthy of God's love. But the scriptures show over and over again that we don't pursue God, he pursues us. This week as we continue with our series We Came to Believe, we will focus on our God who has pursued us throughout history even to this moment. Hey Family, When Jesus asked his disciples, "Who do you say that I am?," he was asking the most basic question that any Christian can ponder. The world would have us believe that Jesus has no relevance to our lives today--that he was nothing more than a great teacher, or a prophet among many other prophets, or maybe even just a myth. But the Bible tells a very different story. It explains very clearly that Jesus not only came to die for us, but continues to affect every aspect of our lives, from our family to our finances.

Hey Family, What we think affects what we do. So it makes sense that we should think the way God would have us think. This is true in our friendships, relationships, family and work. At RHOW this week we're starting a new series, WE CAME TO BELIEVE. Over the next few weeks we will learn what it means to believe rightly, and we'll experience greater freedom and joy as a result. Come to hear and rejoice in what it means to be a Christian and receive the power and promises that God gives us through his word.

Hey Family, Last week in our series LIFE, MONEY, LEGACY we talked about how putting God first in our finances is the most important financial decision we ever have to make. I am grateful that many of us are learning a great deal about how to handle money in ways that bring glory to God. This Sunday we'll continue with the next step in the series, so bring your friends and loved ones--anyone who might benefit from the message. Money can be a very controversial subject. Many of us are very sensitive about this issue because we feel uncomfortable talking about our money. However in this series we are going past our comfort zone and asking God to reshape how we think of money. Since so many divorces are caused by arguments about money and so many people find themselves in a world of stress about this subject we thought it would be good if our church learned how to deal with money in a more biblical and God honoring way. Please don't miss this Sunday's service as we continue this series and find ourselves breaking free from the stress of not managing God's money well, come out from under debt, and be happier than we have ever been with our finances. Last week we started a new series titled AFTERMATH--What To Do After You've Messed Up. Because it happens to all of us. We see something that looks so good to us. Our mind knows that going after that temptation means going against God's will and His word. But we think to ourselves It's just this once, or No one will know, or I just need a little break. And then Satan has his way with us and leaves us in a place of shame. It's at that point that many people turn away from God rather than running toward Him. But the Bible teaches us that God pursues us even when we sin. When we seek sin, God seeks to save.

I feel so guilty. I'm so ashamed. I did it again. How many times have we said this to ourselves after we've messed up and sinned and gone astray? And when we sin against God, we find ourselves having decisions to make in order to get back on track. That's why in this new series, Aftermath, we're going to find out what to do once we've messed up. How does God respond to us, and what steps should we take? Hey Family, This Sunday we close out our True Love series, which I hope has been a blessing to you. In this last week of the series we will be talking about how sometimes love hurts. There's no escaping that...and it was never more true than in the story of what Christ did for us, pursuing us out of love even unto his death on the cross in our place. We hope you have been learning and growing in our new series called TRUE LOVE. We've learned that Christ shows us the only true model for how to love others. This week in Part 3 of our series we welcome guest pastor Zac Martin of Trinity Grace Park Slope. We all want to live a life that matters, and we all want to be happy. But if we are honest about it, we often find ourselves living a life filled more with frustration. Hey Family, Last Sunday we began a new series called TRUE LOVE. We all want to be loved--but often our relationships leave us in tears. Love is one of the most powerful emotions that we can experience, but it's also something we need to learn. Understanding the meaning of true love will affect how we function in our marriages, deal with our children, and approach relationships with others. Jesus will grow us in our ability to love, and I believe He will use this series to help it happen. So I look forward to seeing you this Sunday at 10 a.m.--and bring someone you love.
