A quick bonus episode to help complete the Team That Should Have Won series. No offense to the 2005 squad, but there was a White Sox team that combined greats and nostalgia and the personality of the team that really should have been the team to win it all.

The Giants need to try and take advantage of all the AL teams bunch together to make good trades. Meanwhile, there is NOTHING wrong with bunting your way on to break up a no hitter. Too many teams are within striking distance of a playoff spot to worry about manners. Also talking about Ortiz and A-Rod and retiring numbers and remembering the 2007 Rockies.

The Twins are in first place and Ervin Santana is a big reason for that. He is also one of the best trade chips in the game right now. Should the Twins go for it or cash in Santana at top value? Also, in honor of Twins manager Paul Molitor, the Milwaukee Brewers team that should have won.

Was a Milwaukee and Arizona game in June a playoff preview? That should be a good thing. Several franchises without a World Series title, like Washington, Milwaukee, Colorado and Houston find themselves as contenders in mid June. They should act like the time to win is NOW! Plus the Washington team that should have won.

At the 1/3 mark of the season, some surprise teams are hanging around and the World Series participants of 2014 and 2015 should be hanging for sale signs on their roster.

Baseball is creeping into Facebook. We are 10 years away from wondering how we followed the game without it. In Anaheim, Mike Trout's greatness is being wasted. Meanwhile I look at the Pirates team that should have won.

My computer erased a solid podcast. Maybe it is time for another change in the format of this podcast.

My wife agrees that baseball games should not go beyond the 12th. Meanwhile she inadvertently realigns the Major Leagues. I take another look at the Mets and figure out if ANY Marlins team got away.

Well... that's a wrap. I started this podcast on October 24, 2012 and I have posted an episode every single day since. Today's will be the last of the streak. Before I turn the podcast from a daily to a weekly show, I wanted to pause and appreciate the fun I had these last 4 1/2 years.

In the latest installment of The Teams That Should Have Won, I look at a franchise that has had a lot of near misses. The Mets have lost some heart breakers and some big time stars came and went without a ring. But the team I picked for the Mets could have built on past success and possibly could have avoided the pitfalls that would emerge in the ensuing years.

ESPN evidently came up with the same line I have been saying for years. I chalk it up to parallel thinking. Meanwhile Nationals pitcher Blake Treinen is the closer and hopes to do what no Washington pitcher has ever done.

Prolific and wonderful baseball writer Stacey Gotsulias returns to the podcast. We talked about Red Sox and Yankee memories and she explains why she wanted Dave Roberts to break his leg.

The first base coach should always be a place for a fan favorite. I make my suggestions for each team.
