A person who lives a life of gratitude has a different spirit about them. You want to be around them. They change the environment in the room. They have a freedom about them. Where does that come from? Join us as we discuss The Freeing Power of Gratitude.

Gratitude has an opposite, a nemesis, an archvillain…the GRUMBLE! When we decide to look at what we don’t have, or what we WANT instead of what God is providing, then we can quickly lose focus on what He is actively doing for us in the moment, or what He ahs already done for us in the past. This week we will look at people who complained, had a lack of gratitude, and who grumbled when God was actively working in their trials, and learn how to have a spirit of gratitude instead!

Gratitude is a fundamental ingredient to a deep and meaningful life, but can often be overlooked or forgotten about. Gratitude however is more than saying thank you, it is a lifestyle that was imbedded into us from creation, and God responds to it in incredible ways!

Patience, we probably could use more of it, but do we REALLY want to ask God for more? That prayer comes with major implications that we may not be ready for! What does God say about patience, and why does he MAKE us wait at times? And what is our attitude when we wait? We will look at Acts chapters 1 and 2 to see what happened when we wait, and what happens when God shows up in our waiting!

Sometimes it feels like others are on fire for Jesus, but when we evaluate ourselves we don’t see the same passion in our lives that we see in others. What fuels their passion, what fuels ours? What robs our passions from us, and how do we keep our from burning out? Paul and Silas give us an amazing example about how to stay passionate in our mission to spread the love of Jesus, and tips to not burn out!

There is a link between Humility and Grace, but unfortunately our human pride gets in the way. All too often we make more of ourselves and less of God, which leads to Pride, the direct enemy of God. Today we will unpack some stores about pride, humility, and see how having a humble heart will lead to an outpouring of God’s grace in our lives!

As we continue our talks on Grace, we will unpack the phrase, “God loves me as I am.” What does this mean, and does that mean we stay where we are? And what does it mean if we constantly look at ourselves as lowly sinners with the view that God is always disappointed in our failures? Grace gives us freedom, affirmation, justification, and redemption! Don’t be paralyzed in life by grace, let it move you to action!

Have you ever taken the time to think deeply about grace? Have you ever taken the time to study God’s Word about grace? This is a journey for all of us to take together. Today, we will discover that God’s grace is more than forgiveness; he sends his grace to teach us a new way to live…a difficult but necessary balance between Grace and Truth.

Growing is important, but sometimes we fall into a routine that seems so repetitive and mundane that we can lose our excitement for it. What if God doesn’t answer us the way we expect, or what if we get discouraged because our quiet time doesn’t feel the way it used to when we first started? Today we talk about what happens “After the Honeymoon Phase” and we will debunk some common myths about things that discourage us in our quiet time with Jesus.

How many of us are busy? It's easy to say that we don’t live in a slow-paced society, and more people than even wish there was more time in a day to get things done. So, the question is, how do we take time to GROW in Jesus when we simply do not have any time to spare between work, family, life, and sleep? Today we break down one day in the life of Jesus, and see how He made connecting with his Father a priority, despite the busy life he lived, and how it recharged Him to keep moving forward!

Today we continue talking about how to GROW in our walk with Jesus, but how do we stay focused? Sometimes we can be like that Dog from Disney’s “UP,” and the smallest little thing takes our focus away…SQUIRREL! Today we will get practical and talk about how to overcome Spiritual A.D.D!
