Mon calls up Dave in Barcelona who was up in the gods on Wednesday, watching City lose there. So that match and the implications take up most of the conversation but there's time to look forward to the visit of Southampton on Sunday too. The winning run comes to an end but City go in to the international break still on top of the table. Mon and Dave argue the toss about all things related to the games at Celtic and Spurs, and some things that are not related.

The day after the Swansea EFL Cup game and there are two other matches for Dave and Mon to talk about (Gladbach and Bournemouth). There's also the small matter of a certain African player's agent, not to mention that City have now won nine games in a row.

Speaking just before the rearranged Borrusia Mönchengladbach fixture, Mon and Dave talk, erm... quite a lot(!), about the derby along with the game kicking off in a couple of hours time. UEFA get a fair bit of examination too, with the new president having just been elected.

West Ham seems a long time ago but Dave and Mon talk it through, along with the transfer window- both ins and outs. There's a certain game coming up on Saturday that's getting a lot of attention too...

Two more matches played so Dave and Mon have plenty to get their teeth into- Stoke away, Steaua at home (a good Hart these days is hard to find), Champions League draw for the group stage (yep, another easy one) and there's West Ham to come on Sunday too.

The first two competitive matches of the Guardiola era have been played and there's no shortage of talking points for Mon and Dave: Sunderland, Joe Hart, Tactics, Joe Hart, Steaua Bucharest, Joe Hart, Stoke and er, Joe Hart.

We're back! New and probably not that much improved for the new season and Pep Guardiola era. Dave and Mon look forward to the new campaign and debate the quality of the new signings, who will get into the team, who won't... and then there's the small matter of that new manager too. Listen to the end and you might even find out where the chaps expect City to finish in the table come next May.

The end of the league campaign and City get the point they need against Swansea to stay in 4th place. Mon and Dave look back at that game as well as Manuel Pellegrini's reign as a whole, and also reveal their player(s) of the season.

Dave and Mon wonder whether the weakened team that lost in Southampton was worth the loss in Madrid. Then there's the small matter of a home Premier League match against Arsenal, the team directly above them in the league, in Manuel Pellegrini's last game at the Etihad Stadium. Well, as City manager anyway...

Keeping calm after City restrict Real Madrid to a goal-less draw in the Champions League semi final, Mon and Dave look back at the match in probably more detail than you'd like. They also glance at Wednesday's return leg in Madrid, alongside the Premier League fixture at Southampton taking place on Sunday.

Dave and Mon talk through a fairly satisfactory week for City, with the glamour of the home leg versus Real Madrid to come. Only one blip really- failing to beat Newcastle. At least it wasn't a loss...

City reach another European semi-final and, just like the media at large, Dave and Mon can barely hide their excitement. They talk about the game last Tuesday night and the one to come against Chelsea on Saturday. Note: at the time of recording they didn't know the outcome of the semi-final draw.

Three matches for Mon and Dave to catch up on but it's pretty good news on the whole, with wins against Bournemouth and West Brom either side of a quite creditable draw in Paris. Plenty to talk about, from the returns of Kevin and Samir, to the performances of a certain Wilfried...

Mon And Dave force themselves to revisit the derby match and talk through all the grisly details. The draw for the quarter finals of the Champions League has also taken place and Dave promises to sell his car to pay for his ticket against PSG- if City win the first leg.

We now know that we'll be travelling to Paris in the Champions League Quarter Final, but Dave and Mon didn't at the time of recording. So expect the usual bickering about the Kyiv match, Kompany, Yaya, the CL draw... and of course the game to come on Sunday.

Mon and Dave are not really happy. Although City scored four against Villa at home, they couldn't score a single one at Norwich. The gap to the top is double-digits and the one to the teams below is only two. Is the league title out of reach? Is the Champions League title out of reach? Is the latter the only way City can get back into the Champions League next year..?
