Sinopse
Dads on Dads on Dads is a biweekly podcast that follows hosts Colin, Mike, and Paul, three first-time Dads based in New York City, through their adventures in Dadding. Each episode, you'll get to follow along with our Dads as they wend their way through everything fatherhood has to offer, from cloth diapers to late-night ER visits, told as only they can tell it. They'll also answer listener questions on just about anything Dad related, from how they navigate scheduling with their wives to the TV show they just can't wait to show their sons. So have a seat, crack a beer, and catch up with these Dads on their journeys through fatherhood as they try to be the best Dads they can be. Should you take their advice? Probably not. Will you have fun coming along for the ride? We think so. And we'd love to hear from YOU! If you want to suggest a topic for the Dads to discuss or have a question for us, visit the Dads on Dads on Dads Facebook page and toss us a like, hop on Twitter @dadsondadspod and throw us a follow, or e-mail us at dadsondadsondads@gmail.com. Mental Health – Key Factors and How to Stay Balanced
03/10/2019 Duração: 53minIn Episode 18, the Dads talk Mental Health. Ah, Fathers: those stoic, unshakeable rocks that you see on TV. The men whose mere mild perturbation could set children to trembling three rooms away. The ones who would talk to you when they got home. The ones who, on TV, at least, were, as a rule, taciturn and withdrawn, until, of course, the big episode where the guy who played the Dad got to chew a bunch of scenery because he lost his job, but thankfully, still retains his status as “Man of the House” in everyone’s eyes. After the Dads talk what’s new in Dadding (Colin’s watching his son show off his imagination, everything’s still new to Mike, and Corey’s got a move coming up), the Dads talk about what they see as the biggest factor affecting Dads’ mental health, how having kids affected their own mental states, and how they handled these changes in their headspace. Tradition: Peer Pressure from Dead People
11/09/2019 Duração: 43minIn Episode 17, the Dads talk Traditions. They come in many forms, affecting things in Dads’ lives such as how we all got married, to how we manage our relationships and home lives, to how we raise our kids. So how do we grapple with them? Special Thanks to Reddit, apparently, for our episode title. After the Dads talk what’s new in Dadding the Dads talk about the role Traditions, the Dads talk about which traditions they kept, and which they discarded, whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie, how to find a balance between those Traditions your family expects but that you might not value as much, and what traditions they’d like to start. Sleep; Keeping Ahead of the Game; Putting the Kids to Bed
20/06/2019 Duração: 58minIn episode 14, the Dads talk sleep. Ah, sleep. Nothing more necessary to a life well-lived than regular periods of long, gentle slumber. Then, the Dads talk what’s new in Dadding and get to the questions: the Dads discuss how having kids has affected their sleep and what, if anything, they do to keep their heads above water; their strategies for putting their children to sleep and dealing with sleeplessness; and what they do to give Mom a break from time to time. First, the Dads talk what’s new in Dadding, and then, the Dads talk the one habit they broke or adopted once they had kids, the one habit they hope their sons will adopt or avoid, and finally, the one habit they haven’t been able to get going but that they’re looking to start up.
