For those of you who have listened to episode 1 with Ryan Tuckwood, you may remember he also has a business partner in Jack Corbett, who is the other side of both ISR Traning and Corbwood & Associates, based on the Gold Coast. This down to earth pair were actually on Shark Tank recently and managed to secure investment from Andrew Banks, Steve Baxter and Glen Richards which has enabled them to grow quite exponentially in a short time from the foundations Jack, Ryan and their team have been building for about 3 years now.I caught up with Jack, again at ISR HQ in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast and got to pick his brains on all things business, sales and mindset. Naomi and I caught up at Coffee Anda in Ipswich a little while back. We've been friends for a decade and it has been amazing to watch her progress with her business. Naomi had an abundant amount of passion for health and fitness and does a brilliant job in educating and transforming her client's health. She does it all while raising 4 children with her husband Tony, a tremendous effort. I met Odell late last year via a podcast meet up group. The first time I met him he took time out to get to know me and the things I want to do. In this short time I've become good friends with him and give him credit for helping me get this podcast off the ground with both advice and accountability. I recently visited Ryan Tuckwood at his Surfers Paradise office on the Gold Coast. We were greeted warmly by his staff and we took a tour of the premises that 2 of the 3 businesses he is involved in operate from. We were then taken into the boardroom. It was here, with a backdrop covered with his past clients and success stories, where I would hear of how a mechanical engineer from Leicester who had $2 to his name and was sleeping on a mattress on his friend's floor not all that long ago, became a sales expert, CEO and Young Entrepreneur of the Year recipient.A guy who also has a keen eye for fashion, above all I have found Ryan to be down to earth yet harbours big goals and has an admirable work ethic that anyone could learn from.
