We’re pausing our Who is Jesus? series on the Gospel of Mark until after Mother’s Day to focus on a new series, "Godly Generations."As part of our vision to raise generations, this sermon series will explore what the Bible has to say to every generation in our church—starting with Seniors! Each week focuses on one generation, but this series is for everyone. This Easter, we celebrate God’s incredible mercy, a mercy that brings forgiveness for our sins. Through Jesus’ resurrection, we are not only given new life but also an eternal inheritance that can never spoil or fade.Let us rejoice and live in the hope that Christ’s resurrection has made possible, a living hope that transforms our present and secures our future.

Continuing our Gospel of Mark series, Who is Jesus?, today we explore the ministry and mission of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We continue our Gospel of Mark series, Who is Jesus?, as we explore the ministry and mission of our Lord Jesus Christ.Throughout today’s passage, we see Jesus humbly meeting people in their need yet carrying undeniable spiritual authority. Our prayer is that you would encounter Jesus, our Servant King and His authority, through His Word, His works, and His ways.

Jesus came into the world on a mission, and how we understand that mission shapes how we respond to Him.If Jesus were merely a miracle worker, then following Him would simply mean becoming miracle workers ourselves. If He were only a great teacher, then our task would be to pass on His teachings to others. And if His mission were only to die, then we would simply rest in His death and resurrection and tell others about it.These are certainly part of what Jesus did but it is not what Jesus’ mission actually was about. Join us as we unpack Mark 1 and explore what Jesus truly came to do, the effects of it, and how we are called to respond.
