Del Wilkes, the pro wrestler who found fame as The Patriot...has died. Wilkes was an All-American football player at the University of South Carolina before finding his way into pro wrestling. His career took him to New Japan, WCW...and the WWF...where he quickly ascended to the main event in 1997 as a championship challenger to Bret Hart. Wilkes reportedly died after suffering a heart attack on Thursday. Del Wilkes was 59. (STINGER: WWE) We could get another entrant tonight for the men’s Money In The Bank ladder match. A qualifying match is set for tonight’s SmackDown: Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn in a Last Man Standing Match. WWE officially announced Thursday that it will bring SmackDown to New York’s Madison Square Garden on September 10th. Qualifying matches for the NXT Breakout Tournament will be held on tonight’s 205 Live: Guru Raaj vs. Andre Chase...and Desmond Troy
