Jesus calls to the stand his final two witnesses; his works and the Scriptures. His works point us to the source of his power and authority, once more qualifying him as one who can take away the world's sin. What Jesus does with his final witness, the Scriptures, is twofold. First, he proves the scriptures point to him; Second, they also become his counterattack. The scriptures accuse the hearers of their unbelief.
