In light of all the asylum seekers who continue to cross into Manitoba from the U.S., we speak with Rita Chahal -- the executive director of the Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council (Welcome Place) -- to find out what the process is when someone claims asylum, and has to apply for it. We also speak with Dianne Fehr with the Immigrant Access Fund, an organization that offers 'character loans' to people who are new to our country, and need to strengthen their credentials to practice their profession in Canada.
