Our Advent series is Hope is Born. Each week we look at a different aspect of how we prepare ourselves for hope. The message for today is “Preparing” and is a look what it means to prepare for hope. How does one prepare for hope? In a year full of turmoil what can we do to prepare for hope? What are we preparing for? Where is our hope? We prepare our hearts to receive the hope that was born on Christmas Day. Our scripture readings for today come from Isaiah 40:1-11; 2 Peter 3:8-15a; and Mark 1:1-8.
