Today on Sojourner Truth: One of two contentious and highly-watched court trials in U.S. history are now taking place, both of which will have an impact on race relations in the country. One of them is the trial of three white men accused of killing a young Black jogger last year in broad daylight in Georgia. Ahmaud Arbery was shot on February 23, 2020 by Gregory and Travis McMichael, and pursued by William Bryan. Today, we focus on the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, the 18-year-old young white man who shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, as well as seriously wounding Gaige Grosskreutz. Our guest is Kieran Knutson, President of CWA Local 7250 and has been active in protests in solidarity with George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement. Kieran is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Also, on Saturday, November 13, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP26, came to a close. The conference, which took place in Glasgow, Scotland, has been described by many as a failure and a disa
