We read in Matthew 16 that Jesus said He will build His church, but what exactly did He mean by 'church'? In this message Steve shows us that throughout the New Testament, in the original Greek the word 'Ekklēsía' is used, referring to the 'assembly / those called out' not to a physical location. When we hear the word 'church' we so easily think of a meeting place, but we are reminded that wherever we meet together, we are the assembly that Jesus is building, and we shouldn't restrict the gifts we have been given to a single location or a Sunday only. We are the church.
