Early Edition With Joe Mathieu

Good Monday morning from Joe Mathieu and the WGBH Morning Edition team. Even though the Earth reached its closest point to the sun yesterday, it’s still a gloomy Monday morning for sports fans in Boston as football season ended earlier than expected this weekend. The Golden Globes went down last night, and we think we might’ve seen the last of Ricky Gervais as its (insert expletive here) host. And the threats have ratcheted up as we face the possibility of another conflict in the Middle East. Strap yourselves in, the week is just getting started.
