Who is Dawson: Co-Founder (along with Marvin Webb) of Rock/Creek Outfitters. They founded it in 1987 and sold it in 2018. Inducted into the UTC College of Business Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. In November 2007, Rock/Creek was named one of the top 25 specialty outdoor retailers by Outdoor Business magazine. In 2009, SNEWS & Backpacker Magazine chose Rock/Creek as Retailer of the Year for Best Online Business. Dawson sits on a number of boards and is involved in a number of community programs.
