This week my newsfeed was inundated with articles asking very common questions in times like these: Questions like, 'Where is God?' 'What is He doing?' 'Why is this happening?' "Is this judgment, sin?' And of course, that also meant I had to wade through some very (let's just say) 'cringe-worthy' theories. But putting the "answers" of Job's friends where they belong (in the round file), I think we all understand why questions like these happen. As people, we want and even need answers in life. We long for meaning.
