Our guest today is my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor Shannon White. Shannon came back on the podcast to talk about all the things you need to know to start Jiu Jitsu. We talked about a bunch of the questions that he gets on a regular basis from people looking to join the gym. We also talked about the questions that you should be asking to see if that particular gym is right for you. Lastly we got into some red flags to watch out for. Shannon got his black belt in Jiu Jitsu in the fall of 2018 from his instructor Mark Vives of the New Breed Training Center in Chicago Illinois. Shannon started training Jiu Jitsu in 2009 at the age of 19. He has a pedigree of competition in Jiu Jitsu and has many accomplishments on the mat.
