It’s #stickybunday which got me thinking about sitting down with friends for a brew and chatting about sales and it’s also possible on social media, but not instantly. However, there’s a time and a place for selling. So many people use social media the wrong way and spend their time selling to people instantly. You wouldn’t walk up to a potential partner in a bar and instantly ask them to jump in the sack, so why would you do this with social media. How many of us for example have connected with someone on Linkedin and immediately got a sales DM through, it doesn’t sit well with us does it. So why when it cheeses us off if someone else does it do we put out sales messages constantly in our social media? EXACTLY…….. Start thinking of social media for what it was created……to be SOCIAL, it’s not called selling media. So remember, there’s a time and a place for selling on social media, and it’s when you’re putting money into it. Otherwise, use your time giving value, helping people in your niche out. F
