Voices Of The Rising

This is the 13th episode in a series of audio stories from the Easter 1916 archives of the National Library of Ireland, Dublin, Ireland. The stories are narrated by Katherine McSharry, Head of Outreach with the National Library of Ireland and Irish voice artist Niall O Sioradáin. In this episode, Niall O'Sioradáin reads from the a letter written by Eamonn Duggan, who was a member of the Irish volunteers and fought in the Easter Rising. He wrote to his family at 6am on the second day of the Rising, Tuesday 26th April 1916.
