Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated in Canada, in the United States, in some of the Caribbean islands and in Liberia. It was originally celebrated as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. On Thanksgiving, Vernon hosted Everything Co-op's first Open Mic, to give cooperatives, and the public a chance to give Thanks for their Cooperative Blessings. Several listeners called in to talk about their appreciation as consumers of cooperative businesses.
