A class on Srimad Bhagavatam 6.1.42-43 given by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada on December 24, 1970 in Surat, India. Srimad Bhagavatam 6.1.42 sūryo ’gniḥ khaṁ marud devaḥ  somaḥ sandhyāhanī diśaḥ kaṁ kuḥ svayaṁ dharma iti  hy ete daihyasya sākṣiṇaḥ The sun, fire, sky, air, demigods, moon, evening, day, night, directions, water, land and Supersoul Himself all witness the activities of the living entity. Srimad Bhagavatam 6.1.43 etair adharmo vijñātaḥ  sthānaṁ daṇḍasya yujyate sarve karmānurodhena  daṇḍam arhanti kāriṇaḥ The candidates for punishment are those who are confirmed by these many witnesses to have deviated from their prescribed regulative duties. Everyone engaged in fruitive activities is suitable to be subjected to punishment according to his sinful acts.
