This time I am having a little girl talk with Destini, a singer-songwriter from the left coast.  We are chatting up relationships, self-love, energy and more. Asking why we do some of the things we do when it comes to men. In our convo we find out that her parents are still married, and my parents upon divorce both married their high school sweethearts. I did still grow up in a two-parent household, but it still ended in divorce. While we both want to experience marriage; I am more the bachelorette vs her relationship chick. Does our upbringing really have something to do with relating now? Are we really that textbook? I do not believe that by the way.  On the topic of Marriage: I ask her does she think growing up seeing dad at home, did that help with her ability to choose? Does her parents still being together make her always think, I know I used to think when I was younger and growing up in a family environment, that when you date someone it is for the intention of marriage. If I didn’t see mysel
