Tonight's show started with a picture taken by my girlfriend.I started thinking about my Fathers deep seeded fear of snakes. He couldn't have seen this picture without being affected. Even a cameo of a snake in a movie made him wince or turn the channel. Although one of his favourite movies of all time was Raiders of the Lost Ark. My fear of snakes was passed on. Nothing like hand me down fears.I remember as a boy having nightmares about witches and snakes being tossed into a pit I've been thrown into. Fear is a Factor for me. My father said he almost shot a man who held a snake up to him for a joke. At least that's how I remember it.I can now appreciate the beauty and importance of the snake. Well, maybe from a distance.Tonight we celebrate the snake in song. As with all of my Theme shows no judgements here.
