Buried Gems

A Golden Transgression has stepped forth into the sacrificial pit. He removes his hood and looks up at us. We understand his loss and he understands its importance. I wipe tears collecting at the bridge of my nose as the incantation begins. A rhythmic chant " Muzzarella...Ricottaaa" starts off as a whisper. Slowly we all join in and it begins to crescendo. The Golden Transgression gets on one knee and lets out a sustained bellow shaking us to our bones. We keep chanting.
