The lack of vocal home support seemed to affect Bobby Campbell's charges with a miserable start of 3 points in the first 6 games leaving them in 20th. But a stroke of luck in a 2-0 win away to Leeds United turned the season around.Chelsea embarked on a run of 27 games unbeaten to win the Division Two title with a record 99 points, scoring 96 goals with a three pronged attack of Kerry Dixon, Gordon Durie and Kevin Wilson.
