When it comes to affiliate marketing there really are 2 parts to it. There is the traffic part, which nearly everyone is fascinated with. Everyone just wants to get more traffic. The second part is turning that traffic into money. When I got started in affiliate marketing a long time ago I worked with a group where we would write articles on Ezine articles and then put affiliate links directly at the end.
