R Aylor Growing up at times my brother seemed not to hear others especially whenever he was focused on something in deep thought like when watching TV or playing a game. I remember once someone yelling at him loudly saying "dinner is ready" which should have really rocked him… he didn’t flinch but rather stared at the tv in serious concentration. 
Now, on the other hand my mother Gigi can hardly hear at all. This year she turned 83 and sometimes when she guesses what is being ask of her she answers totally off topic. And that’s ok. Mom still helps teach 5th and 6th graders in Sunday School and thankfully that's when she uses her hearing aid. 

 I love my Mom and brother both sooo much! They love the Lord. I assume though that their reasons for not hearing are at least some of why we don't hear Gods wisdom and truth as he calls out to us spiritual
