She studied English and creative writing and got a job as a journalist after she graduated. But then she realized that it was not working for her. So she then decided to take up nursing for she wanted a career where she will be able to help people. Her very first job was in a long-term care facility, then as her career bloomed, she became a case manager and it was during one of her shift at work in that job where she met the couple that becomes the characters on her first novel, “Blue Hydrangeas, an Alzheimer's Love Story”.
