Last month the Honolulu Department of Planning and Permitting issued 369 permits for photovoltaic systems compared to 219 for July 2018, an increase of 68 percent, representing the biggest year over year bump for a month since the slowing down of the solarcoaster.  Over the first seven months of this year, DPP issued a total of 1,628 PV permits compared to 1,571 during the same period last year, an increase of 3.6 percent.  Of the top PV 10 players on the island by permit counts, seven are up while three are down.
