"Wilmington on Fire" with the Filmmaker, Christopher Everett  Tonight we talk again with Christopher Everett about his film as it tours the nation. The Wilmington Massacre was a bloody attack on the African-American community by a heavily armed white mob with the support of the North Carolina Democratic Party on November 10, 1898 in the port city of Wilmington, North Carolina.  Most folks are familiar with massacres that took place in Tulsa and Rosewood regarding US history but not Wilmington. This incident is barely mentioned and has been omitted from most history books. The film features interviews from historians, authors, activists and actual descendants of the victims of the Wilmington Massacre of 1898.
