Complete unawareness of a really important thing is a step back from, a block to the ability to even begin seeking. And what’s worse than that? Thinking that you do know when you don’t. Thinking you already know closes your mind, creates resistance when presented with anything new. This is how it is with Kingdom—the most important thing Jesus is trying to convey. His entire message hangs on the experience of what he calls the Kingdom of God, and arguably, his entire ministry is an extended definition of what he means by that phrase.
