The Cincinnati Reds close out the Opening Series of 2025 in Disappointing Fashion with a 6-3 loss to the San Fransisco Giants on Sunday at Great American Ball Park. Nick Martinez looked sharp for the Reds through the first four innings before a rough 6th inning made the game just a little out of the teams reach. The team responded in the sixth inning when Austin Wynns and Matt McLain went back-to-back to cut the deficit to just one run, but then the Reds defense let the team down with a rough 8th inning that allowed the San Fransisco Giants to add two runs to the board.
