The New York Jets made too many mistakes and their offense wasn't efficient enough as they saw their win streak get snapped, falling to the New England Patriots 27-14. It was the perfect start for the Jets, taking the ball off the opening kick and scoring on their first drive to take the lead. After that? It was a rough night for the offense. The defense allowed touchdowns on each of the Patriots first two drives, but they settled in and gave the Jets offense chances to make this a game, but that wasn't in the cards. Justin Fields and the offense struggled to find any consistency and it was a rough Jets debut for Adonai Mitchell, who actually led the team in targets but had a number of drops. And after tonight, the Jets may turn the offense over to Tyrod Taylor to see if they can get that unit going. They now get the mini-bye before traveling to Baltimore to take on the Ravens.
