Monica shares with us the importance of being your own best advocate, creating a strong network of colleagues and how being a leader is about service.  Monica Maxwell, SPHR, is the Chief Human Resources Officer at DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital, a nonprofit 24-hour emergency and intensive care animal hospital in Portland, Oregon. Monica graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in psychology, and she has nearly 15 years of experience at both for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
