She has a B.S. and M.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University, and had written for several publications including Grist.org, Smithsonian.com,NationalGeographic.com, and is a regular contributor at RootsRated and Crosscut. Her biggest claim to fame is she was once the youngest person to climb the Seven Summits, which she completed in 2007 with her dad when she was 18. She is also an avid rock climber and runner.
