On this week’s “Ecuador at Your Service” Radio Show, Ashley and Michel interview Wendy Jane Carrel, senior health consultant, about her two year journey around Ecuador visiting assisted living homes (charity run, government run, and for profit), senior centers, the geriatric hospital in Quito, and other places where seniors receive services. She has interviewed MIES (government social services) and Ministry of Public Health officials. She will talk about what exists now for the older adult crowd, what’s missing, and what the future offers for Europeans, North Americans, and locals residing in Cuenca. Wendy is a former Senior Center Director, Senior Head of Information and Outreach for Riverside County Office on Aging, and RCFE (Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly) Administrator.
