One thing I have been passionate about for as long as I care to remember is food.  I remember in grade school learning to cook a "mush omelet" from Michael Germann, and being instantly excited about food (a mush omelet is scrambled eggs with fried balogna and cheese, btw).  After that I cooked for the boy scout troop on campouts and as much as I could at home.
