Gillian Daniel transforms fashion into art and demonstrates that classical art can be fashionable in her Fash of the Titans project. Posting on Tumblr and Instagram, Daniel juxtaposes specific runway looks with classic works of art. The compelling results nudge us to rethink how we view both the clothing and the art work.  Daniel was born in Singapore and currently lives in London, where she works on the marketing team at the Wellcome Collection. As “the free destination for the incurably curious,” the Wellcome Collection presents exhibitions that explore the intersections between medicine, life and art. She has a Masters in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art, where she specialized in contemporary Asian art, and a B.A. from University College London in the History of Art and Philosophy.
