Men are rather often treated like children of the 19th century – expected to be seen and not heard. Because of this and the natural human tendencies toward pride and laziness, men today find it convenient to be slothful in their continuous development. God frowns on this and calls men instead to investigate and understand His world and His word. In effect, God commands His men to grow up and keep on growing.
