If everyone needs a safe space then there won't be enough room for anyone, anywhere. A Winnipeg 'whiteout party' in support of the Winnipeg Jets playoff run is under scrutiny. A complaint by a non-profit group, Black Space Winnipeg, argues that promoting a 'whiteout' party in downtown Winnipeg can trigger people of colour. The street party has been going on since 1987 in response to the Calgary Flames' 'Sea of Red'.
