The Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago Cubs 7-4 Friday night at Great American Ball Park, fueled by an explosive power display with five home runs. Spencer Steer went deep twice, while Elly De La Cruz snapped a 43-game homerless drought with a big blast. Nick Lodolo struggled, unable to make it out of the fifth inning, but the bullpen picked him up with 4 1/3 shutout frames, highlighted by 1 1/3 strong innings from Connor Phillips.
