The Cincinnati Reds defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 7-4 on Saturday night in Milwaukee, lowering their magic number to just one. Cincinnati erupted for six runs in the third inning and never surrendered the lead despite a push from the Brewers. Sal Stewart provided the knockout punch with a home run in the sixth inning to extend the Reds’ cushion.
